Legal
Terms of use
Draft text. OtelCloud's lawyer will review and complete this page before the website launches. Until then it is not a legal document and makes no commitment.
Draft status
This is a draft written from what the OtelCloud website and software actually do. It is not yet reviewed by a lawyer and is not binding. Notes in square brackets, like [LAWYER: …], mark what the lawyer must decide or complete before the website launches.
About this website
OtelCloud is run by Angkor Design in Cambodia. [LAWYER: the legal name and address.] This website gives information about OtelCloud and a way to contact our team. A hotel that uses OtelCloud does so under its own agreement with us, which these website terms do not replace.
Using this website
- You may read the website and send us a message through its forms.
- Please do not send spam, anything unlawful, or other people's personal details.
- We limit how many messages one visitor can send, to keep spam out. The limit can change.
- The words, pictures and screenshots on this website belong to Angkor Design or are used with permission. You may share a link to a page. [LAWYER: what may be copied and quoted.]
What a hotel gets with OtelCloud
This is a summary for information. The agreement a hotel signs is what binds us both.
- A booking engine for the hotel's own website, and a front desk system (PMS), in Khmer and English.
- A three-month free trial, then packages of 6 or 12 months, or a custom number of months. Prices are given when you contact us. [Prices: to be added.]
- Payments: guests pay the hotel. OtelCloud never holds a guest's money.
- Taxes and invoices: the hotel sets its own taxes in the software and is responsible for its tax filings and the invoices it gives guests. The folio and receipts the software prints are records of a stay and its payments. They are not tax invoices unless the hotel's accountant says they meet the General Department of Taxation's rules. [LAWYER: wording with the accountant.]
- The hotel's data belongs to the hotel. [LAWYER: how a hotel can take its data away, and what happens to it after the agreement ends.]
Availability and changes
We work to keep OtelCloud available but do not promise it will never be interrupted. We may change the website and the software. [LAWYER: notice periods, service levels if any, and what happens to a hotel whose subscription lapses: its account becomes read-only and its booking page stops taking bookings.]
Liability
[LAWYER: the limits of our liability for this website and for the software, written to be fair and enforceable in Cambodia.]
Law
[LAWYER: the law that applies and where disagreements are settled.]
Changes to these terms
We will publish the new text on this page and change its date. [LAWYER: how customers are told about important changes.]
